BD,

It's . BTW, I'll be leaving for Tennessee tomorrow.
Hoping to fish a bit in the Smokies next Monday and Tuesday, weather
permitting.

Yah, I've been following the weather forecasts. But it looks like
it will warm up into the 50's by Monday or Tuesday. No matter, since
we're going for SWMBO's gallery opening anyhow. But, if the fishing
gawds are willing, I may get to toss some flies on either day. I'm
thinking of checking out Abrams Creek in the cove area. Good photo ops
for SWMBO, and the water should be the warmest in the area (i.e., the
best chance for dry fly action).

You ladies have fun while I'm gone, and try not to fight too much.
:-)

I hit my favorite stream--Upp_r Cre_K-- last Sunday. I was on the water by
10:00AM and off at 4:30PM. Temp was in the upper 50s. I caught numerous
little fishies (emphasis on little). A hatch came off around 11:30 AM and
continued the entire time I was on stream--I assume it continued after I
left, but can't be certain? March Browns and millions of midges, some other
mayfly types that I don't know. Unfortunately, the trout weren't rising to
them, for the most part. Me, being to stupid and stubborn to try an emerger
pattern, until my last cast, (caught the biggest fish of the day too. 11
inch rainbow.) at the take out point, missed out on a lot of action. Still
a great day, overall!

Funny, the next day it snowed all day in Boone!
