Rodney:
In My area (KY) they are very good eating but from what I am told this
can vary due to their diet of aquatic plants.

too bad we couldn't teach them to eat only milfoil then beach themselves
when they were done.
heheheh

I think edibility for many fish depends on where you are. Here in Maine I
don't know a single person who would ever consider eating a sunfish -
(bluegill) or a yellow perch. they are a "trash" fish.

Along the same lines most people won't eat Mackerel or Bluefish either.
Travel somewhere else and it's a whole new story.

I'm sure grass Carp are edible somewhere in the world... just like beef
rectum. Both might be very tastely.. I just don't want to try it right now.

Ever wondered why folk become horrified at the prospect of eating a scum
sucking bottom feeder then visit a restaurant and order Crab or Lobster,
both prolific detritus feeders ?

I am a big fan of catfish... yummy sweet meat. Also eat many lobsters and
crab.
Its not so much what they eat... Just something about them indivually. Maybe
I relate certain types of fish to having worms...... (((shrug)))

100,000,000,000 Chinese can't be wrong. They dry them out and eat then
later after steaming them to make them soft again.
P.S. I made fish cakes once, like eating a porcupine. :-)
