This is used when there's a very small opening behind you. What I do on this cast is examine what's behind me, let's say trees with a very small opening in-between. I raise the rod, pick-up the line, turn my body facing the opening and shoot the line between two trees. As the line unravels, I turn my body again very quickly facing where I want to place the fly and shoot the line. A very useful cast. -tom |
