I guess I have become the go to guy for 'boo rods at ASU's physical plant?
One of the painters brought in a Montague rod today and asked if I wanted to know if I was interested in it. Well not really, I said, but I would try to find out some info about it for him. The only thing on the rod, which doesn't do anything to identify it, is "Genuine Tonkin." There is no length, weight, or anything else that would identify this rods model. The rod tube--cardboard--has a label on it that reads: Montague, 1FF Fishkill, Fly 8 1/2'. Some one wrote, BHDX on the label. I thought this might be a weight designation, but I haven't had a chance to look that up in my books, yet. I'm curious if any one out there in ROFF land is familiar with Montague rod and can tell me anything about this rod. The rod, itself, is in decent shape, except that both tips have a set in them, one guide is missing, and some of the thread raps are unraveling. Thanks, Op |
