fishing off isla mujeres is hot, this year we entered, the hotel vistalmars,handline barracuda bash which was heald in late jan. to fish for barracuda up to thirty pounds or more,just trolling with a handline is GREAT,the hit is fast and hard and then its just the two of you,who ever lets the line go slake loses,caught one eighteen and seven teen and a half.yes we wear gloves thats it.check out there page.www.wax-n-wane.com isla also has sails,tuna,great bottom fishing and fly fishing as well,but handlineing barracuda,thats another level all together.
