All,
Just got back from NH for a week. Got in three trips amid the leaf
peeping and hiking and general lazing about. The Saco in North Conway
was very low and no hatches to be seen but got some action on Brassies (
size 18) and Stonefly nymphs (size 6). The upper Saco near Sawyers rock
appeared devoid of fish, albeit very pretty. Fished Wildcat above
Jackson and caught a coupe handfull of Brookies (none bigger than eight
or nine inches) on EHC.

Nice country and look forward to going back. Temps in the valley were in
the upper 60 and lower seventies but the top of Mt Washington was 30
degrees with 50 foot visibility and 50 knots of wind in blowing ice.
Well, it was a check in the block!

Hmm, Think I'll steal that one and use it myself.

Always wanted to fish NH. Got any photos?

Sorry JR, Wife had the camera most of the time so plenty of scenery
pictures I didn't have the means for fish pictures. Pretty country
though and I'm sure the fishing is great with a little more water and a
few more bugs. On the bright side, even by the lake in the evening there
were no biting bugs.

Here's where it is though

no secrets from me!

Too bad. As much as I like photos of rainbow trout fisheries in NC and
brown fisheries in MT, etc., it's the native fisheries that interest me
the most: brookies and landlocks in the east, cutthroats and rainbows
in the west.

You folks need to buy a 2nd camera.....
