What keeps you from entering a BASS open?

With BASS promoting the heck out of their open tourneys, I'm curious
what stops you and or your friends from entering one?

Cost?

Time off work?

Fear of finishing in last place?

All of the above?

Just need to get my own boat, cost would probably be the only other
contributing factor to not entering. It's what I dream about every morning
when I'm on the lake : )

Caught 9 this morning including a 4 and a 5 pounder, the 5 pounder was
videotaped too!!!

Location. I live in BFE so I would have to drive forever to get there, and
couldn't take the time off either.

Cost is not an issue.

Who cares if I were to finish last. We all have good days and bad days.

Cost being the number one factor... and the thought of all the pressure that
I would put on myself. I probably wouldn't enjoy myself with that much
pressure.

For me, fishing is something I enjoy by myself or with a friend or my kids.
I like to get out, have fun, and relax. A tournament would be more like
going to work. :-)
