Gambler and bang are still under the same ownership. The separation a
few years ago was between the gambler "florida rig" weight and the rest
of the company. They had licensed the right to the screw in weight from
the inventor, and there came a disagreement and eventual parting of
ways. A lawsuit was involved, but I've long since forgotten the details
of that. Anyway, the screw in weight was eventually licensed to someone
else (Bullet weights??) and the rest of the company was sold (for
surprisingly little) to pay off the parties involved in the weight
disagreement. Or something like that.

BANG still makes a bait attractant and I haven't seen many Gambler lures
around much anymore. The company is still around. I know that Guido Hibbdon
was one of their "pros" that designed for them and had a line of some of the
best made craws on the market. They were called "Guido Bugs". I have also
seen tubes as well...Academy Sports use to carry the line here but
discontinued them.
Davey Hite won a classic I believe using a bacon rind made by Gambler..

Here's a link that might help you....http://www.gambler-bang.com/files/
Check out the homepage that went with that link...There's virtually every
bait company, or the most popular ones anyway, available with phone #'s and
contacts..
Hope it helps.

Gambler was one of the few companies producing the chatter/swim jig
bait when it first hit the market.

That link only takes me to the Gambler home page, not to links of
other companies.
