Default Pleasanton Fly Fishing Show

It was this past weekend, and sure put that San Mateo
Show to shame.
Never seen so many fly-fisherman converge in one area.
Lots of vendors, seminars, fly-tying, excellent presentations.

It was a great show. All the big vendors were there, and they had enough
going on to keep a person busy for 2 days. Unfortunately, after a 2 1/2
hr. drive to get there, I had to leave after 2 1/2 hrs. at the show.
Daughter got sick and duty called. I still go in a seminar, wander the
isles a bit, talked to friends, and cast a 5wt blank from New Zealand. I
doubt i'll attend another ISE Show in the near future.

Brians,
I should have emailed you before hand, actually forgot you were going to
the show. I would have treated you to lunch, not there, but at Vics
restaurant
down the street. (Better food).
Ok, $8.oo parking, $14.oo entry, and $7.oo for "a" Sierra Nevada???
Then had the pleasure of listening to two anglers get into a ****ing
contest
at the upsidedown fly booth.

Further from the fairgrounds but best burger in Pleasanton is at Super
Burger at the Rose Pavilion. On Santa Rita near the Freeway.

I'll keep that one in mind for next year.

We have a place in Palo Alto called the Peninsula Creamery which has
on their menu the "Buddy Burger". For $150.oo you get a burger and
a bottle of Dom Perignon. When I first saw it, I thought it was a joke,
but the waitress told me they sell about 3 a month.

Tom,

Thanks for the offer. I would've much rather done that, than the hotdog
I got at the snack bar. As it worked out, I had just enough time to walk
the isles a couple times, get in one seminar(Ca. Stripers by John
Sherman)cast one rod, and deliver a pontoon boat to a friend of mine. My
buddy had the same call of duty, at almost the same time, with his
daughter puking too. :-) We both drove out of the parking lot together.
