but I do.
A day full of fishing, laughing your ass off and plenty of good times. After everyone is finished pre-fishing, there'll be rumors about what was caught and what it was caught on. Secret patterns will guarded well... only told to one or two others people. But before you know it, everyone will know the truth. After much needed showers, people will gather at a little steak house just a short staggering distance away for a delicious meal and LOTS of beer. With a belly full of dinner, they come back to the Claridge to make sure that everything is ready for the next morning. Conversations will carry on late... but each of them are ready to call it a night. Tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn, they'll be there for a full day of fishing... but only after a great breakfast, perhaps the Dairyland Scrambler, one of my favorites at the Claridge. Man... I wish that I was there. |

Funny, but I was in the office today, and picked up the phone. It was a
guy in Rhinelander, ordering some Shakers for musky. After we talked for a few minutes, I said "You should have these early next week, and you can put them right to the test on Boom Lake." He was astonished that I knew of Boom. Turns out he lives on it. Asked if he knows Steve, but apparently he doesn't. But if you see someone out there tossing a bright orange swimbait style thing, run him down and introduce yourself, Steve. |
