My little lake is again giving me all the pleasure I can stand!
![]() Water temps are starting go down, and the bass have come out to "play" again! I didn't really mind having to work hard to catch some bass this summer....but this is starting to get fun again! Yesterday I walked out my front door and caught 4 bass on 6 casts (1-2 lbs). Went over to my favorite big bass "corner" and caught a 4 lb. on the third cast.....went back and sat on my front porch, sipped on a cold MGD and thought of how great life was! grin. John B |

I've been having a blast these past few weeks. Must be some kind of hatch
going on. I've been catching lot's of small largemouths, up to 18 inches and up to 14 inch crappie and up to 2 pound bluegills at night just as the sun sets and until I stop fishing. I hope the recent cold snap doesn't slow them down. I think I have tennis elbow from chucking a storm hopper popper on a 7 foor rod, but it doesn't stop me from going back for more ![]() "John B" wrote in message ... Those little guys fought better than a 10 lber on heavy tackle. I was fishing from the bank at the 17,000 GPM pump discharge that fills this 468 acre lake. The shad were in there heavy, as were the spotted bass. This is just one of the best places in the country for bank fishing for bass. To the shad this spot is like the back side of a dam, it's as far up stream you can go, and the water is always 10 degrees cooler coming into the lake, than what's in the lake, because of the source of the water. It's also narrow, you can almost cast all the way across it -- SpecTastic Wiggle Rig, Fishing lure remote control See lure video you won't believe http://ezknot.com/videos.html |
