Leaping Carp are really getting to be a problem on U.S. waterways. The
video looks like an absolute blast. However, many States are trying to find solutions to keep them out of waterways. These fish have put people in the hospital. How about running through the water full blast in your boat and you get hit in the chest or face by a flying Carp? Do a Google search on "Invasive fish in the Great Lakes" and you will see what a dilema this is going to be. Major Magnetic "Lu Powell" wrote in message . .. The makings of a new extreme sport. From staff and wire reports Associated Press Silver carp, like this one in the Missouri River, were brought to the United States from Asia about 30 years ago. ST. LOUIS - For years, boaters and fishermen on many midwestern rivers have battled a fish with a bizarre behavior: silver carp that launch themselves into the air, jumping into boats and often slapping the unsuspecting upside the head. Man I bet it would be a blast, to "blast" those things,, put someone in the front of the boat with a shotgun, it would be like trap shooting on the fly. But I bet it would not be legal in any state,, too bad, it could really reduce their numbers -- Rodney Long, Inventor of the Mojo SpecTastic "WIGGLE" rig, SpecTastic Thread, Boomerang Fishing Pro. ,Stand Out Hooks ,Stand Out Lures, Mojo's Rock Hopper & Rig Saver weights, and the EZKnot http://www.ezknot.com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

These fish are currently on the verge of invading the great lakes...There is
a small electrified barrier that is currently keeping these fish out of Lake Michigan...But this is only a temporary solution...The long term solution is stuck on the hill being debated & being picked to death by lawmakers...All should contact their lawmakers to voice your concerns about this subject...Yes I know some of you will say it's not your problem...But I say yes it is...Because if lawmakers won't protect the largest fresh water resource we have...Then what makes you think they'll protect your water resource???
