GFS2008 - been gone, but back

I haven't been offering any updates on the swap, mostly because I
don't have much to say. I haven't been able to get to the PO box for
about a week; but based on everyone's individual updates posted here,
I expect I have quite a few little packages waiting for me there.
Maybe tomorrow.

OT: I just got back from some structural evaluations at a DoD
explosives and weapons facility. I must say, those guys have the
safety & security protocols down pat and take them seriously. Despite
being around **** that wouldn't leave enough of me for a stain, I felt
pretty safe. Kinda cool, actually, for this lay person who isn't
around this stuff often. Fascinating processes.

The little grounding anti-spark things for my shoes reminded me of how
fragile the staus quo could be, though. I'd never actually seen TnT
before, much less held a kilo in my hand. It didn't look like what I
expected. In the end, I probably absorbed enough dust & residue of
various compounds that I should stay out of airports for a month or
so.

No free samples, though.
