.....and I have absolutely googled my brains out. I have done so many
different things from the Microsoft website that I thought I would never get my internet connection back... I'm trying to network an XP computer and a vista computer...no luck. Gosh, xp and win 98 was a breeze....maybe we should file some kind of suit because Gates purposefully makes things incompatible? Ain't that a monopoly? Anyhow...what I would like to do is call one of you whiz bang dudes some evening and have you walk me through the process... I can pay in cash, trade goods or phone numbers from any number of countries..... john |

yeah...went through all that....that's when I lost my internet connection! laughs No help; but a long time ago, I tried the same thing between Windows 95 and Windows 98 computers. I never got it to work, and IIRC, they told me it couldn't be done (but I don't remember who "they" were.) You'd think it would be possible, though. Joe F. |

It can be done, it is not even particularly difficult. Unfortunately extremely difficult to explain, there are just too many things to configure. Also, you need to open ports for listening etc. This is not really trivial, and you need to be careful that you donīt open you machine up to general internet access, but itīs not really hard to do. Just asking "how do I do it", is pointless, because one would have to cover too much ground. If Asadi wants it done, then he can send me an e-mail, I will give him a password for my remote support software, and I will do it for him remotely over the internet. TL MC |
