It never got heavy enough to affect casting like it did the last couple times there. I hate it when the line gets stuck in the midst of a cast. My only gripe was the color of the water. Tough to spot fish and ugly on top of it. Willi |

The ice on my guides didn't so much affect the casting as it did the mending -- especially the flip mend. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

Wow
I've only fished the San Juan one week, several years ago, but I remember it having a LOT more water. Is winter flow normally this low or is the drought threatening the river badly? |
