over the past few years I've really received some good information in
this fourm on different subjects, now I need help on finding a good
fishing partner for open tournaments, I consider myself to be a pretty
good angler. Where do you start to look for someone to fish with? or
should I run an ad in the local newspaper.

Dang boy, don't you have any friends that like to fish? If not, then I'd
consider joining a local fishing club and maybe post a notice where anglers
hang out, marinas, bait shops and similar locations. Putting an ad in the
local newspaper is likely to be "less than productive."

Another thought is to join several websites that relate to bass fishing (if
you're fishing bass tournaments). If there are websites that pertain to
your area, that's even better, but most websites are not area specific. So
when you do become a member of a site, make sure that if there is a profile
to fill out, put your city/state in the profile. OutdoorFrontiers.com,
UltimateBass.com and Lake-Link.com are some sites I frequent.
