Happy new year to all
A friend has asked me to tie some flies for a visit to the Tweed in the UK However I can't seem to find the dressings for the Plop Fly even after extensive Internet searching. If anyone can help please post the dressiings or materials list for it if you know it. Thanks Thanks again Techie Guy PS I've tried the Flytying group and the UK group hence the post here |

Probably unethical, (and more or less useless!) on the Tweed anyway. TL MC |

Note the Plop Fly is in between 2 other easier to find patterns. I have emailed the fishtweed site but no reply as of yet. Thanks pasted section Some of the most widely used patterns are Junction Shrimp, Willie Gunn, Comet, White Wing, Garry Dog, Yellow Tosh, Ally's Shrimp, Cascade Shrimp, Plop Fly, Temple Dog, Purple Shrimp and the Thunder & Lightning. end of pasted section |

At least not yet I am pursuing it with them. It seems strange to me that they would advertise and recommend local type flies and expect their website customers, who hail from all corners of the globe, to know the dressings or be able to bring these flies with them when they arrive for their booking. ??
