Default Telescoping wading staff

My wife wanted some new hiking boots so we went to REI

I wandered around and noticed that they have a telescoping walking
staff that looks exactly like the one FishPond sells ( same Austrian
mfg, and everything but labeling seems identical ) but for $30.00
less. I go through a lot of these things so I got one.

Just a heads up in case you've been thinking of getting such a
gadget.

I have a FishPond and prefer it to the folding style staffs .... for
MY specific needs

Yeah, buy them two for $20 at many stores. They do the trick if
you've blown out your folding staff (which I do with regularity).
I've found that one of these with a zinger for a net, hanging off the
back of my vest like a net, works great.

I use one of our back country poles - Leki
I just change or remove the basket from powdwer to the carbide tip.
Works fine
