I know the Luhr-Jensen is great. The "Big Chief" is worth the extra 20
bucks from Cabelas. $89.00 because of larger capacity but....the heating element is only 450 watts good/excellent for smoking fish and makeing jerky. It really isn't a smoker/cooker(hot smoker) I also have a Cabelas "Premium Electric" Smoker that is made by Masterbuilt.com. Excellent product. It has a real temperature control for the 1650 watt element and you can use it for cold smokeing as well as hot smoking...look into it..do your research so you know exactly what your needs are. {:O) Mike "Lennie Richardson" wrote in message om... wrote in message ...
