What are some good reels for king salmon on a 10 weight ticr? Is a

No reel suggestion, but did you consider the TFO TiCr-X in 8 weight? The X
"series" rods (a 5- and 8-weight) are supposed to even faster than the
regular TiCrs - assumning you want that.

I use a Battenkill LA V on my TiCr 8 wt. I believe I would step up to the
LA VI for a 10 wt. I've used my LA V for almost two years with no
complaints. It recoveres line rapidly, the drag is acceptable, and it is
durable though light. For the money, not a bad reel.

I don't like the Battenkill, but good is in the eye of the beholder. in the
mid-price range, I like the Ross Canyon, tough as nails and the drag will
stop a mack truck if it has too. If you are going to be using the rig for
winter fishing with the accompaning snow and ice, get something with the
drag and works sealed like the Harris.

I have had good luck ove r the last 11 years in alaska with two reels. The
Billy Pate "Bonefish series, and most recently the last 3 years the Alaskan
series American Classic, which is built in Utah not taiwan . or china. I
believe you will be pleasantly supprised with either reel. The Am Classic is
not as pricey as the Billy Pate Good luck
