Default Line for new 8 wt??

Just bought a Teton Tioga 8LA off of Ebay and need to spool her up. I have
always been a RIO guy, but am wondering if there is a line out there that
might work better for me? I have sppol for the reel so I was thinking about
dropping the $$ and getting RIO's Versi-Tip line, but wouldn't object to
getting another spool if there is a newer line out there that is more
popular?

I will probably use the reel on one of my sage 8 wt's for Silver Salmon
Fishing this fall up in Alaska so any recommendations would be great.

Happy Fishing

If you do not need a floating line, perhaps the Rio Dredger would be a
better choice. the really get down. The 15' tips get down 3or 4 ' at best.

Rio and Airflow make the best ( 15' ) multi-tip lines.

You get a floater, clear slow sinker, type 3 and type 6 (all 15').

We then add a 20'-25' (~200 grn) tip/head to the selection for deeper stuff.
