Lake Conditions

This sign was posted at my launch ramp. It explains the great fishing and big healthy Lm's that have been caught. I talked with the treatment guy this morning and he told me that by far this should be one of the top fishing lakes in the area due to water quality and forage. He also went on to tell me that a few fish well over 6 lbs were netted when they where shocking earlier last week. Wish I could have been there for that. He did tell me what part of the lake they were in at the time and went on to say that numerous 4 and 5 lbers are in the water and would not be surprised if there were bigger fish in there that just haven't been caught yet. On a sadder note he also told me that there a far fewer small bass in my small lake but an increasingly larger population of pickerel and that if the community didn't decide to do something with it soon that it would just be a big pond with water and muck in it.
