Hi All,
I am trying to find stuff to reproduce a fly for my father. The fly in the upper photo has a red plastic body between the tube/hair and the beads. Does anyone know where I can find something like that? That fly is something like 35 years old. My dad trolls with thede behind a dodger and down-rigger for salmon and lake trout in Lake Michigan. http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/967...ing00082wk.jpg I ordered a tube tying adapter for my vise this weekend to help me with the tube part with the hair. I can find everything else, just no luck so far on the red body. I also imagine polar bear hair which is what these were originally tied with is hard to get if not illegal right? I will likely use deer hair or some synthetic. wayne |
