OT - stupid dogs

or stupid me.

Only one slip and it'll cost me.

I walk into the kitchen where my wife is working on dinner and
one of my junkyard dogs (little rat of a Wire Haired Dachshund)
is standing by the back door, tail wagging, eyes big, jumping around.

I say "You want to go out?"

My wife (back to me) says "where?"

And I (DOH! * 10 ^ 64) say "oh, I was talking to the dog.... (tone dropping
as the d word comes out of my mouth)"

Geez, I'm going to be paying for that one for a while.
