I've used Suffix for the past two years, and my perspective is that it's the best mono I've ever tried. I have now bought big spools of it in several test sizes (6#, 8#, 10#, 14#, and 17#, I think). I'd like to see some objective lab tests done on it, comparing it to other monofilament lines. In all the categories, I think it would rate well. Relatively little memory.... nick and abrasion resistant.... durable... good color choices (kind of a lemonade green, clear, and fluorescent). If you try it, I think you'll be satisfied. Joe you forgot one more important thing It last longer on the reel. I change line every couple of weeks, but I have one bait caster with Suffix on it, this reel gets used every trip, and I have not had, or needed to change that line in 6 months, it's still limp, and feels great. I've never had line hold up like this -- Rodney Long, Inventor of the Long Shot "WIGGLE" rig, SpecTastic Thread Boomerang Fishing Pro. ,Stand Out Hooks ,Stand Out Lures, Mojo's Rock Hopper & Rig Saver weights, Decoy Activator and the EZKnot http://www.ezknot.com |
