Costa Rica has been rumored to be really nice as well.

All swap flies that I had went out today (19 parcels)..2 tiers flamed out
on us so you should get 19 flies each. Just FYI for U.S. folks..there were
some issues with Priority Mail stamps..the PO would not accept PM stamps
with a date on them, so I ponied up another $3.85 for each one. USPS sez

PM
stamps with a date on them cannot be used past that date.

Hi Frank,
Got the flies. Thanks for hosting, and thanks to all the participants.
Weird about the priority mail thing. Called a USPS location here in Denver.
I got mine out of a machine. They couldn't figure it out. Was told it
doesn't matter until it is dated at the post office when sent. Also looked
at the boxes of a few other swaps where I still have the boxes. The only
date on the stamps was the post office dated impression on the stamp at the
time of sending.
Anyhow, thanks again, and good luck. Can't imagine you settling down in one
place, and just hanging out, with all the traveling you do, and you seem to
have some fun with it. Heck, I'm lucky if I get 6 hours or so from the
house anymore. (heh . . .heh . . .but that gets me into a lot of fishin'
territory)

farewell gift to youse guys since this will be the last swap that I host.
This is NOT sour grapes, let me hasten to add...it's just that now that I'm
single again I plan to spend my winters south, WAY south. (can you spell
Guadalajara..Melaque Beach..Manzanillo?) I used to take my sailboat to
Mexico and sail the winters away, sounds like an even better idea now. It's
been fun these past 5 yrs doing this, I hope someone carries this on. (you
listening Timmaay?) ;-) BTW Mu, Wayno got your extra flies as requested.
Any extra flies I'm gonna keep and see that my grandson gets them. If you
really want your extras returned, send me a SASE with a request for same.

...my nomination for the neatest fly was the big-assed shrimp, awesome!
...and Big Dale had the best named fly..John Dear! oh my

Hi Frank
Hope mine wasn"t one of the ones you had trouble with.

Your sure, steady. and "tactfull" mistering will surely be missed......
not to say others won't do well, but it won't be the same.

Since there were two shrimp in the swap whose did you nominate for that award?

Please keep in touch.

....thanks for the kind words Gary, much appreciated. I'm sure there
are others who can run the GFS as well or better than me, with less
bitching. :-) As it turns out, it was your shrimp that I was so
impressed by..I just had never seen one tied that large before, great
job.

Thanks Frank,
As always the fly was at the smaller end of my size range (Sal****er fish like 'em
big).
One of these swaps I promse to tye a freshwater-something size #16 or smaller just
to prove I can.

Please let me know when you come down Houston way, would like to buy you a cup and
talk.

....as it happens, I was in Cleburne, TX yesterday AM to pick up a load for
Houston, however it didn't work out since I had no way to hook on to the
truck with my towbar. (I was returning from Phoenix, having delivered an RV
there Sat) Love to have a cup with ya, stay tuned.
