Bruiser, whatcha tying? What was that stonefly pattern

For dries I'm tying big foam stuff and stimulators as well as small and tiny
X Caddis for the evenings.

Nymphs - PTs and Caddis, hare's ears, golden stone nymphs, bunny leeches,
SJWs, and yellow sallies.

I think it was the Pheasant Tail and the deep sparkle caddis nymph that were
so hot for me that last morning by Raynalds.

My goal is to tie lots of flies and not use them in other rivers before the
trip, so I don't need to bring any tying gear with me. Normally I bring all
the gear and then end up tying about 10 flies all week and giving 5 of those
away.

Where's everyone camping by the way? Maybe it's on Warren's website.

Can you post your pattern for golden stones?

Yeah, same here. I'm leaving the camper at home and flying this time, so no
tying kit at the clave.

Warren's got his web site updated for this year, so check there. It's the
same campground as last year, Cabin Creek Campground. I believe that Harry
and I are staying across the road at the Campfire Inn (???). Its the place
we ate breakfast on a few mornings.

What color bodies on those X Caddis? Size 18s?

Again, colors on the caddis?

Trying to tie for the trip.

let's see...married 3 years (is that right?), one child (or have i
underestimated the fecundity), and haven't been seen nor heard of in a
long while. yup...i'd say it's about time for your resurrection. g

good to hear from you and hope to see you again this year. btw, the
shad are running in the neuse tribs and in the tar river...

Thanks a lot for the invite. Your list above is right (8 month old child),
although it's missing a few things:
- new job started last week (no vacation time for 3 months)
- moving into a new house in 3 weeks
- battling a (relatively small potatoes) court case against insurgent
Hence the lack of time and opportunity. But even if I can't go you've at
least given me a little daydream fuel.....

Mine will be tan or light brown, size 18, but I'd refer to Warren for much
better advice. I wasn't exactly slaying them in the evenings with that
pattern. Jeff Miller outfished me per minute by about 100 to 1.

Again, colors on the caddis?

Mine are mostly green with tan antron. I like that quick descent dubbing in
the various caddis colors for that pattern.

Okay, will do. Tying as we speak.

Hmm, haven't seen that yet. Will have to check it out.

Jeff,
Add me to the list please. Will probably bring my better half if she can
manage getting time off her court chores for a week. I will contact the
Slide Inn tomorrow for any vacancies. Bruiser, Charlie, Danl, John,Willi and
the rest of you Clavers. Any suggestions for lodging would be appreciated if
the Slide Inn is full.
Thanks in Advance,
Guy

Hello Folks,

Just thought I would stop in and get a list of who is coming to the
conclave this year. I have received emails from a few people and
updated the clave webpage with the info that I have. If you have any
questions or need anything, email is the best way to get in touch with
me (addy is in my sig line but you have to unmunge it). Once I get
email addies for everyone coming, I will set up the "clave broadcasting
system" to send out any updates, info, etc.

I will be camping same as last year, but there is a list of lodging
alternatives on Warren's web page. The Campfire Lodge Resort is right across
the road from the campground. I don't know what the rooms are like but they
serve a good breakfast - albeit with not much of a wine selection or nude
beach.
