Damn...my bank just told me the international bank transfer fee is
$40!!! I'm sure not gonna pay $40 to transfer $14!

OK, time to research plan B. RATS, I wish I had checked into this a few
hours ago.

I just went part way through the process and got to the point where I could pay
by credit card. FWIW

That is most strange! I just went through the process, and it says the
only options are to use this German paypal thingy, or else do a wire
transfer. Are you at individual.net's page? Post a link.

How did the charges look when they were posted? I am hesitant to use them,
until I know what the currency exchange looks like.

Ten Euros was all it said. I wasn't up to date on the exchange rate, but
was fairly confident that the difference was considerably less than an order
of magnitude.

Riverman stated yesterday that it actually works out to about $14 U.S. As I
actually used a debit card rather than a credit card, the transaction should
show up in my checking account (which I can easily track online) within the
next couple of days.....assuming it goes through in about the usual time.
It hasn't yet; I just looked. If you like, I can keep you posted.

Wolfgang
