Is it true that in Canada if I want to fish a stream or whatever that is more than 50 feet from a roadway, I would need to hire a Canadian guide etc in order to legally fish? Is it any roadway, only paved, what about trails etc. DavidN No, only Newfoundland has a rule like that and I believe that it is for Atlantic Salmon only. Each province has its own fishing rules just like each state has its own rules.
