I saw no less than four snakes eating fish on this trip. I think I've seen maybe one other one in my life. I interrupted a small snake with a large sculpin halfway down and felt guilty watching the wee thing struggle to scurry away into the brush. Later that day, some other folks at the Slide Inn mentioned seeing several other snakes with sculpins. The sculpins must be a MAJOR food source. Wonder if it's only a seasonal thing......
