Doubtless, somewhere, even in Texas, there resides someone with the native
wit and sufficient experience with the English language to deduce that "a
village" denotes the singular. Aside from that, one can hardly argue with
the conclusion.

JB,

Your English, though imperfect, is more than sufficient to get your quite
excellent point across. The problem is that you are doing one of those things
best described with the American expression, "****ing in the wind". This kind
of complaint usually spawns a long series of messages that in the long run have
no effect on the intended party, but leave the rest of us shaking our heads.

You've put forward an excellent effort, but I suspect it's simply beating your
head against a wall.

Now, don't be surprised if there is some bait posted, even under the guise of
some sort of capitulation.

JB,

Your English, though imperfect,

Ouch! Was that really necessary? I mean, I can understand constructive
criticism in its proper time and place, but starting right out with a
gratuitous jab is just a wee bit harsh, don'tcha think?

is more than sufficient to get your quite
excellent point across.

The excellence of his point is one of those subjective thingies. I think
we'll be hard pressed to get a concensus on this matter without a great deal
of debate. Personally, I don't think this is the proper venue for such a
discussion but, if you insist.........

The problem is that you are doing one of those things
best described with the American expression, "****ing in the wind".

Which we see results in (among other things) getting **** all over a
completely innocent language.

This kind
of complaint usually spawns a long series of messages that in the long run
have
no effect on the intended party, but leave the rest of us shaking our
heads.

Shake gently. You're not getting any younger, and those vertebrae get more
delicate with each passing day.

You've put forward an excellent effort,

Hm.....there's that excellent thingy again.

but I suspect it's simply beating your
head against a wall.

From here it looks more like the RESULT of beating his head against a wall.

Well, I give up. There is just no talking sense to some people!

Hey wolfgang,I've noticed that you ain't a very happy camper,

As a matter of fact, I enjoy camping very much.

and complain alot and don't much care for anyone.

Thus demonstrating that what you notice is not a very reliable indicator of
what is so.

whats the deal ?

Deal? Have we made a deal and no one told me?

Has anyone here wronged you in this or any other Lifetime ??

You know someone who's gotten through this life or any other without being
wronged?

Almost every time someone tries toget some Honest feedback, and Not

It's a bully pulpit.....what can one say?

It's really Sad to see Grown men act in this Manner.

I feel your pain.

I'm sure there are many people that can see a Bully from a distance.

Well, except maybe an ivisble bully. I dunno......whattya think?......ya
think there are many people can see an invisible bully from a distance.
Then too, there's the matter of just how great a distance. I mean, it'd
have to be a REALLY big bully that you could see from a distance of say a
gajillion miles.....don'tcha think?

God's Children get weary because of Bullys'

God's children get weary for many reasons. Fortunately, help is available
in overcoming at least some of those causes. If you keep having trouble
with bullies, you just contact me and I'll see what I can do about
it......o.k.?

Is my English Language Sufficient ?

Is this a Joak ?

I think that "Knowone" is likely to be a bit of an overstatement (not to
mention an abomination.....but that's an issue for another time).

Do you really think you Impress us True to Heart Fishermen ???

Whatever "True to Heart Fishermen" may be (and trust me, I really don't want
to know), I have no idea whether or not I impress them. Do you really think
I CARE whether or not I impress "True to Heart Fishermen"?

Not in Texas you won't

O.k., I'll try to keep that in mind. Thanks.

Meanwhile, perhaps you could explain what all of this has to do with fly
tying.

Wolfy, you're slipping. I had to wait almost 25 1/2 hours for your
rejoinder. Ya know, some of us enjoy watching the "I poke badgers with
spoons" show, but the schedule is just so iffy. Could you get with the
program? I mean, I have more to do with my life than hit refresh every half
hour just to see if you're gonna play.

I think I'll just unsubcribe and just buy the DVD for Christmas. Read it in
January, 'cause in the middle of Winter, the only things folks will be doing
is posting those damn trip reports. Hey, thats was it is! SAD, Seasonal
Apolitical Disorder. Folks, we have a diagnosis. Jeez O' Pete. I'm
ramblin' worse than Forty at VFW convention.

You're not going to find a "4 weight boo rod" for $15-$25. These rods are
rarely even tonkin cane, but rather local bamboo. They are very heavy and
I've found some that have some really weird twists in the cane that makes
casting really interesting (try casting a rod that has a 20 degree kink to
the 8 o'clock position about 2/3rds the way up the blank). Kinda like a gun
that shoots around corners.
It is possible to find one out of about five that is serviceable. Just go
to ebay and buy every one you find and you might hit a winner. Really fun
checking out the ebay deals on these. I remember one from last year that
the owner thought was worth a minimum of 3000 dollars ("I done heard that
peoples pay an amazing amount of money for these here tomato stakes, so's
I'm gonna get some of that money!").
