Sorry. That was meant as a reply to Larry L. and not Wolfgang.

That's o.k. I like a charming story as well as the next guy.

Baseball bat didn't work, huh?

Wolfgang
who, every day, is happier and happier that the navy is out there protecting
us.

It would have worked fine if I had hit him with it. He saw me swing
it and backed off. The burlap bag, however, did work.

But, of course, ymmv as it always seems to.

Oh, did I forget to tell you? You've been out of the kill file for a
long time. Cheer up.

When I was a kid, there was dog down the way from our hunting cabin that
chased cars. The owner picked up a pup and the pup started doing the same
thing. I'm not sure what happened, however the older dog was dead along side
the road about a month after the owner bought the pup. We assumed the dog
was hit while chasing cars.
The pup continued chasing, till my Dad did about the same thing with an old
pillow case. The pup took a wild ride after grabbing ahold of the pillow
case. The dog never chased another car and would sit on the side of the road
and watch cars pass by. I'm thinking the dog was waiting for that damn
orange dodge pickup with the white pillow case on the tire.
