what is a running line?
"steve" wrote in message news  I'm a flyfishing tyro. My expert friends speak of a "running line" between the backing and the fly line on a fly reel. What is a running line? What material is it? What do I hunt for when shopping for it? All answers will be appreciated. Thanks, steve winston Another use for it is a popular rig for Steelhead, and other fishing where you have enough weight to pull the line out on it's own. It's not tapered same diameter through and through. Mike
