haven't made plans for next year yet...i'm thinking about trying a month
in graham county next year and that may affect all my fishing travel plans... btw, isn't 2007 the year you, wolfgang, tom, george cleveland, and some others are supposed to venture down this way. jeff Mike wrote: So will we see you in Coburn next year Jeff ?????????? |

Right now, i'm thinking middle of september until middle of october so
as to avoid bear-hunting season. the woods around the streams get a bit "unusual" when the bear hunters get stirred up. Of course, it might be october and i can just fish the GSMNP streams the last 2 weeks. But it's all in the "thinking about it" stage right now. Rachel and I are always up there for some period in october, and i reckon the first or second week would be the time for you fellas to think about. Let me know... jeff Mike wrote: Sounds good to me will have to check with the rest of the gang when you planning you month long foray into graham county.......... |

Still planning on Jellystone next September? chas is the ringleader for that jaunt, but i thought it was scheduled for early sept... i plan on going to montana as often as i can...so far, it's worked out. we'll see about next year. if i could ever convince rachel to accept a life of penury and uncertainty in pleasant surroundings, we'd be living in graham county and i wouldn't have these planning problems. jeff |

I hope to spend September out there again next year - it's a pretty place to be. if i could ever convince rachel to accept a life of penury and uncertainty in pleasant surroundings, we'd be living in graham county and i wouldn't have these planning problems. It'll be called north metro Atlanta soon enough, probably. :-( -- Charlie... http://www.chocphoto.com |

![]() "jeff" wrote in message Right now, i'm thinking middle of september until middle of october so as to avoid bear-hunting season. Indian Joe suggests- If you Penn's creek guys { Mike, Tom asf --stands for and so forth } could plan for a week down south we could rent a cabin on Snowbird Creek for first week in Oct---no quarters for shower --no riding around looking for a place to eat breakfast---only 200 yards from Miller's cabin where we could bum beer-- no ducks in road- and streams where fish feed all day, not just 15 minutes at dark !!! now that eyes are failing I am fishing only size 16 and above flies so Penn's creek and the yellow ditds youall use are out--- I am adopting royal wuff as my go to fly for next season and happy to see Harry is selling them for 69cents each this week --- it's going up to 65 degrees to day here in Wilmington NO.CO. so I better jump in my kayak and hit the salt---realize this is ff ing crowd but have to admit I use spinning gear unless I find big pod of redfish or bluefish---- then I pull out my 6 wt. Gosh life is tough |

Can't speak for the rest (well, actually, I could.....but you know how owly they can get.....especially in the off-season) but it is definitely on my calendar. As you know, there is no single model of what a trout steam should look like......but, if there were, it would look like a western North Carolina mountain stream. Wolfgang hey, i don't make the rules. |
