B.A.S.S. business tactics.

I didn't have the same experience with them, but a nearly as irritating,
one resulting in my cancelling Bassmasters Mag and Bass Times. Here is
another of thier scams. After I'd been a member for several years I started
getting renewal notices every three months literally. Of course each one
extended your subscription and required new funds. So if my wife saw it
she'd just send in a check thinking it was time to renew the original
subscription. It got so you couldn't tell if it was an annual renewal or a
quarterly scam for your $ So . . . I decided to express my frustration
with a letter to Dave Precht or whatever the editors name was or is.

Frankly I got a smart ass letter from him about how horrid it must be to
deal with more than one renewal notice. I replied in kind and haven't
purchased another BASS product since. I'm sure they don't miss me and I sure
as heck don't miss those crooks.
