"jeff" wrote all except fan creek were very productive. The one trip I took up Fan Creek, couple years ago, I thought I must have gone the wrong direction, or something ... "the book" raves about it, but in reality I found "ho hum" fishing AND atmosphere. Glad you had a good trip, Jeff. Because of the heat/sun/ lack of bugs I left a couple weeks earlier than "normal" I may go back to Yellowstone/ HFork in Sept but will probably make it no farther than Silver Creek/Big Wood and vicinity it was a good trip this year...different, but still fun and educational. i think you probably have to hike in about 2 miles before fan is worthwhile. sorry we missed you... i thought you were going to be at slide inn, but they said you and your wife weren't there when i checked. we did see harry, but rachel and i went over to cody for the museum and we didn't make it back for the last 2 days of our stay. we missed connecting with warren too...though rachel had a brief interlude with him and his daughter jodee one evening at the howlin mad moon. maybe next year... jeff |
