Frank you are quite correct. I love bronze (spending much of my free time
volunteering for TOSA at this time). I guess my "light duty" comment is more in regards to that precious period of the season when these scrappers focus on caddis and mayflies. I have to admit tho, that a time or two I had the audacity to use a 4 wt on smallmouth, but always felt a little uncomfortable, sort of like the danged fish *deserved* a bigger rod, and what if a really big one came along and handed it back to me minus the tip section? ![]() Frank Church ....who dreams of bettering my personal best of 19" on a topwater bug. |
