wow, all those?
i have a pole lmao but seriously, i have a couple of daiwa runners and cormoran runners that i have been very happy with for some time. all were second hand and well maintained, (still are) "Brownz @ Work" wrote in message ... wrote: Abu, Daiwa, Shimano, which is the best? They each have their pluses and they each have their minuses. It's really a case of you pays your money and you makes your choice! Each make of reel has it's devotees, who swear by what they use themselves, even though sometimes they know there are weak points, that could be improved upon. I even saw one post to a forum, where a certain make of reel had a 'clicky' handle. The devotee to this reel cured this problem by forcing some fishing line into the gap to cure the problem. He then went on to say how pleased he was with the reel.Albert.BWebmaster http://fishingcave.com I think as long as its not obviously cheap and nasty, then any reel - that is cleaned and maintained - will give good service these days. I have a 4500 Shimano Baitrunner that I use for bigger pike and carp. A couple of Okuma Big Pit reels for lake carping. A couple of Okuma Baitrunners for small pike and general spinning/lure fishing. A brace of small daiwas that I use for float fishing and ledgering/feeder. And a Grice and Young that I use for trotting/pegging. -- Cheerz - Brownz http://www.brownz.org/ |
