That's funny. I've never see a clock move slower than that
game clock in the Horseshoe during the last 6 minutes of
that game. It was gut wrenching and I didn't go nuts as
much as heave a huge sigh of relief.

That was the first time we've ever beaten an AP #1 team on
the road. We beat Ohio State in 1950, Michigan in '55 and
Michigan State in '56 but those were all right down the
street here at Memorial Stadium.

It was a good day to be an Illini fan ! Oskee Wow Wow !!

well, congrats to the illini. i can't stand "the ohio state
university", so it was well received here in the old north state.

and, concerning the wretched tar heels: we had four shots at the
win in the last few seconds from inside the ten, so who can complain?

8 is a great age for sons and dads. they haven't yet figured out we
aren't the masters of the universe, and they still have that fresh
freedom of spirit and thought. so...have you been fishing? shad season
in a few months would be a good time to share some fishing...and i think
your son would like it too if he can fling and retrieve using light
spinning gear. you could attempt the fly rod.
