Wolfgang I do use ankle braces made of neoprene/velcro and wrapped tightly, much like the old Ace bandages. I got them in the local drug store, and they are a big help. Seeking out a more 'high tech" version makes sense and ice skating seems a good place to start ... Just for giggles, I decided to google "ankle supports." EEK! There's a billion or more out there!
