What are some of the FF books that you most enjoyed reading?

Harry Middleton's "On the Spine of Time".

Fair warning: don't be surprised if you catch a severe case
of mountain fever.

Ken this is off topic, but I wondered if you fished any of the rivers
or streams around here in the Winter? I was thinking of trying my
luck a bit, as long as there was open water. Maybe on the Vermillion
river near Pontiac, or even the Mackinaw river (West of Bloomington).

No, I don't fish central Illinois much in the winter. I will
drill a hole in the ice and dangle a Swedish pimple in front
of some bluegills every once in awhile but that's about it.

One of the reasons I decided to take up muskie on the fly was
to give myself a winter fly fishing option. Lake Kinkaid in
far southern Illinois is close enough for a weekend trip and
the muskie fishing there is supposed to be among the best in
the state between late November and early June when the water
is cold enough.

This year I'll be fishing the winter trout season in southeastern
Minnesota. More like wandering around in the snow with a fly rod
in hand but what the hell.
