I mean, for the money it's going to cost we could probably have a nice little war against a small village somewhere in the world where everybody doesn't hate all Americans yet. in other words, someplace in Canada? Nah, I meant somewhere outside the U.S. Wolfgang who knows that one of these days he's going to pay for this. |

Tom Except when all you can see is the inside or bottom of a cloud, which is quite often the case. Someone's a tad negative. Go in the summertime, it's almost always clear. St Helens is pretty limited in what you can do there. You can drive up and look at the mountain ( about 2 days out of 5 ) or look at the inside of a cloud while trying to look at the mountain. It wasn't that interesting before the mountain blew - up, now there is even less access. I would be in favor of St Helens if they would let people hike up to and in the crater. Here's one for you. www.votechooser.com Pol Pot and Hitler aren't on it so 4th or 5 th choice is the best you'll do. What are you going to do if Oboma pulls the troops back and you can't sell pickels? In my experience you guys from Texas have a lot of pictures of each other ****ing goats, if you have enough of them maby you can find a position. |

Hmmh, I guess you missed the dozens (hundreds?) of miles of spectacular hiking trails all over the back country and the trail that circles the mountain above timber line as well as the possibility of climbing to the summit from the south side. Or perhaps those opportunities didn't impress you. A substantial portion of the reason people aren't allowed in the crater is safety but just as important is the desire to preserve the landscape for scientific research. I realize that might not be a potent political argument for you or the rest of the electorate but it sure means a lot to those of us that do research out there. |
