Peter's advice is sound. One of the things about the sport of fly
fishing(that some of us find appealing) is that it involves an ongoing learning process. One not only has to learn about food items(bugs, and much more), but about fish feeding patterns. Sometimes, what seems to be frantic surface feeding is actually going on right UNDER the surface, requiring the fly to presented at that level. Hold off on the tackle sale, and give the sport some patience. Believe me, we've all been to the place you were in today. Tom |
