this is getting disturbingly close to describing a curtsey.....Hell, it
doesn't matter, but I truly feel for Obama if this is the level of scrutiny
for such a trivial matter.

It appears to me exactly as Obama described it, a tall man grasping
with both hands the outstretched hand of a much shorter man. What's
hilarious about the whole non-incident is that the same right-wing
whackjobs who are pretending to be outraged over this silliness
ignored Bush pere and fils kissing Saudi ass lo these many years.

So, it WAS a bow, huh? When you change the subject, little one, I
know I've won an argument. It was fun. Thanks.

Grow up. Errrr, simply grow, little one. And what did happen to that
edu IP?

I've only just seen the video and being totally neutral (of course) all
I can say is what I saw - if it was not a bow - it was one hell of a
stoop !

But would happen during a curtsey. Or if he was bowing to kiss the
king's hand. d;o)

You are blind, Ken. Watch the video - both shots. He bows and grasps
the kings right hand with his right hand. When he come up, you can
see his left arm/hand move from his side to grasp the king's hand.
His head was BELOW the kings head, almost level with the king's chest.
It was a bow. Stop denying it and it will go away. I'm not outraged
at the whole thing. I am wonderfully entertained by how Obama's staff
is wiggling about it. Left hand had the prez's side. Bow finished.
Left hand comes from the left side to grasp the king's hand. Hell,
Obama was so low, he might have actually KISSED the kings hand.

Oh, please - Obama could say the sun rises in the west and sets in the east over
DC, and with your jungle-feverish mancrush, you'd claim he was the world's
greatest astronomer...

Actually, men holding hands in the Arab world is perfectly normal, whereas King
Abdullah has it well-known that he considers such as bowing to him to be
inappropriate...if you weren't such a unworldly narrow-minded homophobe, you
might have known the former...and if Obama had real world experience or anything
but amateurs around him, they might have known the latter...

Default major malfunction.......

Some cities want bridges and schools from the federal stimulus plan.

Virginia Beach wants all of that and sand, too.

Beach officials are concerned the Obama administration will disqualify
sand replenishment
projects from receiving stimulus cash and have launched a pre-emptive
lobbying effort.

Mayor Will Sessoms sent a letter to members of the city's
congressional delegation asking
that Virginia Beach get $10 million to replace sand at the Oceanfront.

The city needs the sand as protection against hurricanes and to lure
tourists, said Phillip
Roehrs, the city's water resources engineer.
