best fly rod for steelhead/salmon fishing?

Hi Steve,

People use 6, 7 and 8 weights mostly for steelheading in the valley rivers.

For salmon people use 8, 9 and 10 weights.

What other size good fly rods do you own? This is the big question.

Rod warranties are not all that different.

Price of rods does vary a lot.

I have a 9 weight tfo and a 7/8 adg titanium. When I bought the rod it
had a unconditional warranty for $49 (reasonable) but they have decided
they are not making enough money so they are retroactively changing my
warranty to $98. Companies obviously have added warranty charges, have
any added a charge to rods retroactively?

Lets say Tfo said "all rod repairs will not be $200 instead of $25,
regardless of when you bought it". That is what Adg did. It was $9.95
to fix /replace the reel. Now, it is $70. That includes those who
bought the reel when it was a unconditionalwarranty "if any part of the
reel fails to perform for any reason, send it to us for repairwith your
receipt and registration copy, and $9.50 for shipping and handling
