the old one that gets to live on the tying bench. And besides,
the point of a gift is to get someone something they wouldn't

I also got the 12" moulding puller, it's cool too, but it's
not near as nice a "gift", even if is quite a bit more practical.
I've refurbished 12 of the 32 antique double-hung windows in this
old house. This "gift" is a not so subtle hint to get to work on
the other 20. ;-)

Sounds like a VERY time consuming job. That's the price for living in an
older home with lots of character. Lots of work to keep that "character"
looking good.
