is well, surprising. i'm proud of my brethren today.... there is hope. wally By golly, there may indeed be hope for mankind, after all. When I first visited the other end of NC, half a century ago, courtesy of the USMC, there were white fountains and black fountains, white waiting rooms and black waiting rooms, etc. etc. etc. And when, on my first liberty, I made the mistake of sitting too far back in the bus, the driver not only chewed my ass out, but looked like he wanted to become violent. I'm pround of ya Wally......In 1974-75 i was stationed at Fort Benning Ga.on
the Alabama border they still had white and black areas in rural Alabama maybe one day all races will be treated equal proberly won't happen in my lifetime though... Handyman Mike Standing in a river waving a stick |
