My recovery coincided with the onset of cold weather, so yesterday was my first outing since July. Wayne brings his family out here on vacation every summer. He called to announce his arrival just as I was released from the hospital last summer, my bad back excuse probably sounded like a cross between "the checks in the mail" and "my dog ate my homework". I'm keeping up with a back-strengthening exercise program just so I won't let him down next summer.
