![]() "Osmo Jauhiainen" wrote in message ... Hi! I have beeen testing my fly line conbinatians.: Rod Geys of Anwicks #5 Line Vision Extreme Distance WF5F This combinaan seems does not work fine. The rod is rather slow. Is #6 a better choice? Any other recommendeed OsmoJ If the rod seems slow, then you normally need a lighter line, not a heavier one. Try a #5 DT, and use progressively more line until you find the "sweet spot". This should be somewher about 60 feet of line. If the rod still feels slow, go down a line size, and try again. Many people have problems trying to cast slow rods, even with the right weight. Completely different timing and power application is required. TL MC |

We have tested this Vision Extreme Distance #5 line with my son's Loop Blueline #5 rod and it seems to work better obviously because this rod has faster action. OsmoJ |
