If you have a velocity in one hand, and a radius in the other, you'll see that big difference. I'd pay a bit more, and get a velocity instead. No doubt about that. (actually i would pay alot more, and get the ULA force 3FX for a 7 weight, hehe) I've heard the ULA Force performs well, and form is function and all that, but does it really have to be SO ugly??? ![]() JR |

When i fish I look at the actual reel less than 1% of the time, so i dont care bout' the look of the little *******. As long as it performs, im a happy flyfisher ![]() /Thomas |

Some people will pay good money for high quality equipment. Some people will pay as little as possible, but just enough to get by. Of course not all fishermen/women have the same income. I prefer to buy gear that is a pleasure to fish with. When you get all excited about just the thought of waving your flyrod around, and totally psycked every time you spin your flyreel, then u know you got gear you'll keep for life. And when you pay good $$ for high quality gear, it'll probably last for life. At least most of my gear has a lifetime warranty, and i can se that the gear i use was made to last a lifetime. Im not against cheap gear. Not at all. But the enjoyment of fishing - for me at least - is so much greater when i have good gear in my hands. It's like a good woman. There are lots of "ok" women around, but once in a while you find that special someone, that you know is just right for you, and that you'd like to keep for a lifetime. ![]() /Thomas |
